The REBECCA UDALL Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas is creeping closer and its time to start thinking about gifts. I prefer a more holistic approach to choosing gifts, taking the time to find gifts that speak to their personalities and interests rather than opting for generic presents. I like to gift something that will be treasured and that the recipient will get plenty of use out of, and if I’m struggling for ideas of tangible presents, I also consider gifting experiences such as a voucher for a meal at their favourite restaurant or theatre tickets that we can enjoy together.

Gifts for the Host

Our host gift edit includes both decorative and practical gift ideas, from colourful dinner candles to bar and cheese cutlery sets that are beautifully made by heritage or artisan makers. This year, I’m offering a capsule collection of soaps and lotions that can be combined with hand towels and rattan trays to present a thoughtful bundle of artisan and heritage gifts. Alternatively, one of hand crafted seashell soaps and ceramic dishes make the perfect pairing – the dishes are available in a variety of silhouettes and although they have many other uses, are perfect for placing beside the basin as a soap dish or to hold jewellery. Also consider more practical ideas, such as a rattan tissue box cover or a set of bath towels.

If you’re looking for a gift for someone who loves to entertain – from cocktail parties, barbecues or intimate dinners, this edit is full of inspiration. From barware to tableware, cocktail napkins to serving trays and ideas to suit any budget. Our beautiful hand woven rattan ice bucket is a widely loved gift for many, as is a set of cocktail napkins or a set of bar cutlery. Stocking Fillers

Personally, I love putting a stocking together for my partner and close family members, discovering small yet beautiful and meaningful items to fill one of my velvet and silk stockings. Stocking fillers are traditionally small items, but that doesn’t mean they should be throw-away gifts. My stocking fillers edit includes a selection of items that are small enough to fit in a stocking but will be beloved by their recipient – from ceramic trays and sets of dinner candles, to bottle openers and cocktail napkins. I’ve also curated a small range of beautifully patterned notebooks which are ideal for handbags as small jotting pads, as well as artisanal crafted exfoliating soaps and decorative glass bud vases.
