Designed to enhance any table, our non-drip taper candles are handcrafted by a family-owned heritage Danish candlemaker to the highest standards. Available in a spectrum of colours, from vibrant hues to timeless neutrals, these coloured taper candles can be mixed and matched with your table setting to complement or contrast your chosen tones. These tapered candles burn beautifully, burning for up to 15 hours without dripping, elevating your favourite dinner candle holders while adding an ambient glow to your table. Use them for winter lunches, dinner parties, event styling or to add interest to your mantlepiece. Small taper candles are also available in a variety of colours from slate blue and sage green pastels to nougat and linen neutrals. Our tapered dinner candles are non-drip, which allows them to retain their beauty through the time they are burning without any mess. We recommend choosing non-drip taper candles to avoid the mess and hassle of wax drips on your tables and tablecloths. 

How to use taper candles?

Place taper candles along your dining table to add interest and warmth to your setting. First, decide which candle holders you wish to use. Choose from our Daisy hand-painted earthenware classic candleholders, available in a selection of colours, or perhaps our elegant fluted brass candleholders, which can be placed inside our slim hurricane covers. Secure your tapered candles in your chosen holders using taper candle adhesive to prevent them from wobbling or falling. Simply place a small amount of adhesive to the base of the candle, press and twist it firmly into the holder to secure.

Are taper candles safe?

Yes, taper candles are safe, but ensure that you use them with precaution. Secure them in place using candle adhesive, never burn candles on or close to anything flammable, and never leave a burning candle unattended or around children and pets.

Are taper candles expensive?

Our taper candles are reasonably priced, considering they are hand-crafted in Denmark from the finest materials and to the highest quality. They burn for up to 15 hours without dripping.

Are taper candles really dripless?

Our tapered candles are non-drip, but please be aware that exposure to drafts could cause them to drip. Ensure to extinguish your candles after use with a candle snuffer, and keep the wick trimmed to approximately 1 cm. 

Where to use taper candles?

We recommend using taper candles on your dining table and on your mantelpiece, but you could also style them on sideboards or window sills for an ambient glow.
