Part of our Atelier collection Claretta is crafted by Italian master craftsmen with fabric spun, woven and finished by a prestigious northern Italian mill. Italy is renowned globally as the pinnacle of textile excellence. Tailored to your exacting requirement, these are the ultimate in fine linens.
Customise the single piping and single appliqué colours to complement your decor entirely. Base fabrics are available in white and ivory.
The exact dimensions, colours, fabric and specification can meet your requirement. Please Contact Us should the sizes listed here not meet your requirements. Ultra-fine Giza 87 (a truly exceptional strain of Egyptian cotton) 700 thread count extra-long staple cotton fabric is available on enquiry.
Atelier is made to your specification by skilled artisans in Italy, as such lead time is 4-8 weeks (this can be increased when coinciding with August and Christmas shut downs, as is typical in European manufacturing).
We ship globally. For the UK, we have standard, next day (including timed) and Saturday delivery options.
For international orders, we ship via fast, tracked and insured couriers, mostly DHL. For deliveries to USA, Australia and Europe, the total value paid at checkout is inclusive of all import fees. No additional fees will be incurred by the customer at point of delivery.

Should you prefer a Housewife pillowcase, these can be made via our Atelier offering. Our housewife pillowcases have three sides with a sewn edge tight to the pillow with no decorative flange, and one side (the outer side), with a flange. The opening for the pillow is on the opposite side, to ensure the best aesthetic finish.

TOP & BOTTOM SHEETS
Top sheets have a decorative flange to the top hem only, and are designed to sit underneath the duvet cover, but on top of you as you sleep. They are folded back over the duvet cover to add decorative interest. They also allow for more comfortable sleeping in very warm weather and reduce the need to launder the duvet cover as often.

About Atelier Fabrics
All Rebecca Udall Atelier fabrics are Italian woven, produced entirely by a prestigious mill in Northern Italy from spinning through to weaving, dyeing and finishing. All the fabric processes from spinning through to finishing are conducted in the same mill for total in-house control and attention to detail, maintaining exceptional standards.
Heritage Know-How
Italy has a longstanding reputation as the pinnacle of textile excellence globally, passing down heritage know-how from generation to generation with a commitment to exceptional attention to detail and rigorous selection at every stage of fabric design and creation.
Raw Material
The finest long and extra-long staple Egyptian cotton fibres, meticulously selected by the mill, are amongst the best in the world. The pinnacle of Egyptian cotton, Giza 87 - widely recognised as the finest variety of cotton in the world - is used in some of our fabrics. Yarns are carefully selected for each individual fabric to suit the characteristics of each fabric, for the best performance. Further, various tests above and beyond what is standard are conducted at various stages to ensure the quality of the finished fabric.
Spinning
Exclusive machinery ensures the exceptional During the spinning process, the weight of the fabric and the yarn quality is more important than thread count. Some mills insert multiple yarns at the same time rather than single insertions which makes the fabric quicker and cheaper to produce, whilst achieving comparable thread count. Consequently, cotton fabrics such as ours are not comparable to most fabrics at a similar thread count, for example, which is often used as the main quality indicator, which is not truly correct. The softness, breathability, longevity of appearance and overall performance of Atelier fabrics is exceptional.
Finishing
The mill has a trademarked finishing technique applied to all fabrics, which amongst other benefits, ensures greater longevity and softness. For example, any remaining shorter fibres left on the surface are removed making the fabric exceptionally smooth, on both percale and sateen fabrics. On sateen fabrics, it improves the sheen and makes the fabric feel even silkier. On percale weaves, it makes the fabric even more compact which increases its crisp characteristics as well as its softness.
On all Atelier fabrics, there is meticulous selection of the raw material: Egyptian cotton, exclusively long and extra-long staple fibres. Each harvest, yarns are carefully selected.
About Percale
Percale refers to the woven construction of a cotton fabric – typically a one-over, one-under weave. A closely woven fabric, it has high structural integrity and feels firm and smooth. It is especially breathable and durable and gets softer with each wash. Percale is cool to the touch and is typically best suited to warm sleepers, the summer months or hot climates, however its preference is entirely personal.
NOLA Percale 200TC, Long Staple
Made with long staple Egyptian cotton fibres and woven in a 200 thread count. A medium weight fabric, the fabric is reassuringly crisp and cool to the touch but in equal measure smooth. Especially breathable and particularly fast to dry and easier to iron.
PORTICI Percale 400TC, Extra-Long Staple
Made exclusively from extra-long staple Egyptian cotton fibres and woven in a 400 thread count. A medium weight fabric, the fabric is reassuringly crisp and cool to the touch but in equal measure smooth. Especially breathable and particularly fast to dry and easier to iron, it gets softer with each wash.
About Sateen
Sateen refers to the woven construction of a cotton fabric – typically a three- or four-over pattern. It is incredibly soft, smooth and drapes well, while offering a gentle and elegant lustre. Sateen is warm to the touch and is typically best suited to cold sleepers, winter months or cold climates, however its preference is entirely personal.
Sateen cottons, by nature, are a little less breathable than percales due to their construction, however the attention to detail during the weaving and finishing by our mill ensures the exceptional performance of these fabrics for bed linens with supreme comfort, longevity and beauty.
TERAMO Sateen 300TC, Long Staple
Made with long staple Egyptian cotton fibres and woven in a 300 thread count. This is a beautiful fabric in a great weight – not too heavy. Sateen cottons, by nature, are a little less breathable than percales due to their construction. This fabric is buttery soft, silky with a fantastic drape and is suitable for all purposes. It has a more lightweight handle.
RAVENNA Sateen 600TC, Extra-Long Staple
Made exclusively with exceptional extra-long staple Egyptian cotton fibres and woven in a 600 thread count. This is an exemplary fabric in an especially luxurious weight whilst maintaining breathability and suppleness – incredibly soft and silky with a beautiful drape and luminosity.
SAVONA Sateen 700TC, Giza 87 Extra-Long Staple
A truly exceptional fabric which is one of the very best bed linen fabrics worldwide. Made using the highest grade of cotton globally, Giza 87. The cotton is hand-picked at the optimum moment for harvest. Its ultra extra-long staple cotton fibres are unparalleled for their softness, silky sheen and lightweight durability. Reminiscent of silk, the cotton is buttery smooth and absolutely exquisite.
Due to the very limited availability of the raw fibre and consequent price volatility, bed linens in this range are priced on request.
