All Table Linens & Tableware

Intended to be used everyday, not saved for best, our tableware collections are designed in England and brought to live by skilled artisans, family-owned makers and heritage manufacturers around the world. Working predominantly with European specialists, our collection is broad, from Portuguese hand painted ceramics, French cutlery, Murano glassware to fine Italian linens. Tableware Crafted by Specialist Makers

We work with specialist makers in areas known for their craft, choosing materials and techniques for how they feel to use as much as for their decorative character. Our table linens are crafted from European flax, with selected ranges woven and finished in Italy, while our crockery includes pieces hand painted by artisans in Italy and Portugal.

Elsewhere, the collection brings together Italian glassware, Murano pieces and cutlery produced by European family-owned manufacturers, alongside natural-fibre placemats and candleware. Rather than relying on a single style, we favour pieces that can sit comfortably together over time, from quieter white linens and refined stainless steel to colourful ceramics and more playful glassware.

It is an approach rooted in buying less, better: choosing tableware for the pleasure of using it regularly, not keeping it tucked away for particular occasions.

Building a Tableware Collection Over Time

A table feels most personal when it has grown gradually rather than arriving as one complete scheme. We like beginning with the pieces used most often. Perhaps a tablecloth, napkins, everyday crockery or glassware. Then, add different materials, colours and details as the collection develops.

Our tableware sets can make a useful starting point, while individual pieces allow you to introduce contrast or replace what you already own over time. A crisp white linen might sit with hand-painted crockery one day and coloured glassware the next; natural-fibre placemats can bring texture without expecting the rest of the table to match. Our platters and serveware, many from the same ranges as our crockery, make it easy to bring a shared dish straight to the table.

Flexibility is central to how we think about the table. The same pieces can be enjoyed at a weekday supper, a long Sunday lunch or a larger gathering, creating a setting that feels considered without becoming overly formal.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you still have some questions please do feel free to get in touch with us.

What Does a Tableware Collection Include?

Tableware includes the pieces used for serving, eating and gathering around the table, from crockery, cutlery and glassware to table linens, placemats and serveware. Our collection also includes candleware, vases and other accessories designed to complete the table.

Can I mix different tableware collections?

Very happily. We prefer a table that feels collected over time rather than completely matched. You might pair simple linen with more decorative crockery, introduce coloured glassware amongst quieter pieces, or use natural-fibre placemats to add texture without changing the rest of the table.

Do you sell tableware sets?

Yes. Selected crockery, cutlery, glassware and other pieces are available in sets, while much of the wider collection can also be bought individually or by product type. This makes it easy to begin with a coordinated set and add different pieces as your tableware collection grows.

What tableware is suitable for everyday use?

We believe the pieces you enjoy most should be used regularly rather than saved for occasions. For everyday use, our classic crockery, stainless steel cutlery and woven rattan placemats are an easy place to start. To make the table feel a little more special, layer in considered details such as linen napkins and Murano glassware.

How do I choose tableware for a wedding list?

A wedding list is a wonderful opportunity to invest in tableware you’ll enjoy for years to come. Our wedding gifts page is a useful place to begin. Some wedding list favourites include our Zita and Olivia crockery collections, both of which feature beautiful hand-painted scalloped edges, and our Julia hand-cut crystal glassware. Choose a combination of tableware that reflects your style, whether you prefer a cohesive look or enjoy mixing colours, textures and patterns across the table.

How should I care for Rebecca Udall tableware?

Care varies between materials and collections, but as a guide: hand-painted crockery is usually dishwasher safe at a low temperature, though gilded crockery should always be washed by hand. Cutlery and placemats can handle daily wear with usual care. Linen and glassware need a bit more care, so we recommend following the care guidance on the individual product page to help each piece retain its character over time.
