Choosing the Right Cotton Bed Linen
The weave you choose plays an important role in how your bed linen feels and performs. Cotton percale offers a lightweight, cool and crisp finish, particularly suited to warmer sleepers or summer months. Sateen bedding, by contrast, has a more fluid handle with a silky-smooth sheen. Its luxurious weight creates a cocooning, layered bed that feels inviting year-round and adds extra warmth for chilly winter nights.
Whichever weave you prefer, you’ll find a bed linen collection that speaks to you. Our textiles and homeware are designed to work harmoniously together, allowing you to layer textures, tones and details in a way that feels fitting for your space and personality – whether you’re drawn to classic elegance or more contemporary and gently playful styles.

What is the best thread count for bed linen?
Thread count is often used as a measure of ‘luxury bed linen’. However, this only refers to the number of threads per square inch; it does not speak to the quality of those threads. A higher number does not necessarily mean better, and thread counts above 700 often indicate that lesser quality yarns have been used. We prioritise exceptional cotton woven by renowned European mills with generations of textile expertise, which makes for bedding with superior softness, longevity and a beautiful drape.
Why choose cotton bed linen?
Cotton bed linen is valued for its natural comfort. Its breathable nature helps regulate temperature throughout the seasons, offering coolness in warmer months and gentle warmth when layered in winter. It’s also durable and easy to care for, becoming softer with each wash.
Do you use authentic Egyptian cotton?
Some of our bed linen collections are woven from Egyptian cotton. Where this is the case, we use Gold Seal certified cotton verified by the Cotton Egypt Association, which confirms the fibre’s genuine origin from the Nile River Valley. Keep in mind, however, that Egyptian cotton is not an automatic marker of quality – and cotton that is not Egyptian can also be exceptional! Across our range, we insist on long or extra-long staple fibres.
Is your bed linen OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified?
Yes, all of our bed linens and table linens carry OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. This means every component has been independently tested to ensure it is free from harmful substances and meets strict safety and environmental standards.
What is included in a bed linen set?
Our bed linen is designed to be flexible. Each collection includes pillowcases, duvet covers, top sheets and fitted sheets in a range of sizes, from single to emperor. Each component is sold individually, allowing you to build your own set in the sizes and quantities that work for your bed and how you like to sleep.
What temperature should bed linen be washed at?
We recommend washing your bed linen at 30 - 40°C with a gentle detergent. Tumble drying on a low heat, or air drying where possible, and light ironing will help maintain the fabric’s smoothness and handle. Always check the product care instructions for full guidance, as this can differ from design to design.
