Bath Care Guide
Bath Towels & Bath Mats
Our bath towels and bath mats are crafted from long staple cotton with fabric hand-applied trims. The long staple cotton fibres used in our towels mean they are naturally soft and long-lasting, while the zero-twist construction makes them incredibly absorbent and soft.
Wash up to 40 degrees. Avoid using bleach or products containing chlorine. Where possible avoid detergents that have optical brightening agents, as these can cause colours to run. Avoid fabric softeners as these will reduce the absorbency of your towels.
To keep your towels soft and fluffy, we recommend the following:
- Shake your towels before placing them in the washing machine to open up the fibres - this will also help them absorb the detergent better.
- If you live in an area with hard water, use a water softener.
- Run your washing machine empty with a cup of distilled white wine vinegar every few months to prevent limescale building up.
- Place a dryer ball into your tumble dryer to help towels fluff up whilst they dry.
Ensure there is significant air flow where you are storing your towels, such as a linen cupboard with slatted wooden shelves. You can add a lovely natural scent by placing dried lavender bunches next to the towels - this is also great at detering moths.
Be aware that cedar wood among others can stain fabrics. Similar effects can also happen if you have heating pipes running through cupboards.
