Europe has been producing linen for hundreds and hundreds of years. Consequently, Europe has a fantastic reputation for having the best linen weavers in the World - utilising expertise gathered over hundreds of years. The environmental conditions - soil and climate - are also ideal for growing flax. This can't be replicated elsewhere.
We source our products from a range of heritage and artisan manufacturers, most of which are based in Europe. You can find further detail on a specific product's origin and manufacturing on the product page. There is a closed tab named Supplier's Story - if you open this up, you will find more information. We exclusively source from manufacturers that we are confident practice the highest standards of employee welfare, are considerate to the environment and of whom are experts in their field - among other factors.
As we are a direct to consumer brand, we offer products at a competitive price by selling direct to the consumer - we don't have margin allowance for wholesale. Therefore, our products are only sold via our retail channels. Our main retail channel is online, but we also sell at Christmas & Summer fairs and pop up shops. We ship worldwide via DHL, which os tracked and insured.
Orders are usually shipped within two working days. For the UK, courier lead times are 1-2 working days. If you have selected next day, please order by 12pm the working day before. We can also offer Saturday delivery, ordered by 12pm Friday.
Internationally, lead times vary, however we can offer DHL express shipping to all destinations. If this option is not available at the checkout, please contact us to discuss.
We cover all import fees for shipments to the following countries: Europe (excluding Norway), USA and Australia.
For other countries not listed above, you may be charged VAT and import duty by your country on arrival. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking the local charges on your government website, which should be able to advise what the charges are for specific products.
We use a variety of couriers based on the size and weight of the parcel. We use Royal Mail or DPD for UK.
For international shipments, we almost exclusively use DHL.
All of our carriers offer tracking and all our shipments are insured.
