We are headquartered near York, in England. We are independently owned.
1. It is woven by a heritage Italian cotton weaver who suppliers bed linen to the very best hotels globally, including the Four Seasons. They utilise the expertise of the local community gained over hundreds of years.
2. It is single ply: more breathable, a mark of quality cotton & reminiscent of silk. You can read more about single ply here.

Europe has been producing linen for hundreds and hundreds of years. Consequently, Europe has a fantastic reputation for having the best linen weavers in the World - utilising expertise gathered over hundreds of years. The environmental conditions - soil and climate - are also ideal for growing flax. This can't be replicated elsewhere.
We source our products from a range of heritage and artisan manufacturers, most of which are based in Europe. We exclusively source from manufacturers that we are confident practice the highest standards of employee welfare, are considerate to the environment and of whom are experts in their field - among other factors.
As we are a direct to consumer brand, we offer products at a competitive price by selling direct to the consumer - we don't have margin allowance for wholesale. Therefore, our products are only sold via our retail channels. Our main retail channel is online, but we also sell at Christmas & Summer fairs and pop up shops. Yes, we do. We are based in the UK and currently ship internationally to the USA, Canada, Australia and most European countries. Shipping costs will be added at the checkout - we have made them as competitive as possible. You can see a full list of where we ship to here.
Orders are usually shipped on the same day or the day after. In the UK, we ship on a 1-2 day service. Internationally, lead times vary, however we offer express shipping to some destinations. You can see the options at the checkout by entering your address. You will get tracking information with your dispatch notification email.
If you live outside of the European Union, you may have to pay duties and taxes to your country or State. We recommend checking the local charges on your government website, which should be able to advise what the charges are for specific products.
We use a variety of carriers to keep our postage costs low, however we only use couriers who provide excellent service. Our main courier partner for the UK is UPS, but for example we have to ship to the Isle of Man via Royal Mail. We commonly use DPD for Europe. The very large majority of our carriers offer tracking which you will be notified of via email. If you have a specific courier you would like us to use, please get in touch.

We wrap all of our linens in branded tissue paper as standard. Our bed linen is sold wrapped in tissue paper and presented in a gift box. Our taper candles are sold wrapped in branded tissue paper with a care card and sealed in a beautiful branded gift box, wrapped. We are looking in to gift boxes for our table linens and hope to offer these soon.
We offer a complimentary bed linen swatch service so that you can feel our bed linen before you buy.
