Brass will naturally age over time, building a beautiful patina. To maintain brass' shine, if you wish, use a standard brass cleaner, such as Brasso.

Avoid contact with water, the brass is unlacquered. Store in a dry place.

Ensure to always use the correct mill for salt and pepper, respectively.

Salt is corrosive to metal, as such, ensure to wipe off any salt residue with a dry cloth or brush after refilling to maintain finish. A small funnel works well.
